Let’s Draw is a sketching program designed to keep kids drawing by providing observational sketching techniques and modeling a positive inner critic. The program originated in 2014 when I witnessed a kiddo make a mark on a blank sheet of paper and completely fall apart under their own self-criticism. As an artist I know how terrible that feeling can be. I realized I wanted to help with that frustration and try to keep kiddos from walking away from creativity.
After 100 +lessons and 6 years of teaching, I thought it was about time to gather all the creative insights I have experienced sketching alongside kiddos into one happy place and share them with a wider audience. By audience I mean…
