A Jersey girl who grew up in a 1 square mile log cabin town in the Pine Barrens, but did not live in a log cabin. Sleepwalker. Terribly disappointed she did not grow up to be an animal. Played the “flag” in the marching band. Graduate of University of Michigan Art School. Movie poster artist and digital animator for Hollywood movies for over 15 years. Has a banana costume at the ready. Hopeful surfer. Occasional community theatre performer. Loves the word “Nescafe”. Optimist with a mean streak. Thinks good lyrics and good listening are most important. Life-long artist.
Obsessed with being a self-sufficient creative woman, Kelly never allowed herself the luxury of taking painting courses during her college studies. After many random artistic directions, she found her mentor Javier Alvarez. Over the past five years or so she has studied his exacting program executing foundations in value and composition. A new artistic direction and body of work emerged from the second to last exercise of her studies. She is currently in creation mode with plans to share soon. Until then, enjoy.
